Identifiers: Should they be personalized or should you let the solution generate them automatically?

Throughout the solution, when you create an item, you have an "Identifier" field that allows you to identify the item and filter it later on.

Automatic IDs: 🤖

Letting the solution automatically generate the IDs is the easiest way to go for several reasons:

1️⃣ Avoid mistakes

2️⃣ Not having to keep an Excel with all the custom IDs 

3️⃣ The solution won't duplicate IDs

Customized IDs: 📝

If you already have data with a history prior to Tenacy and you want to use these "historical" IDs: 

• If you only create in app IDs, the solution will block you if you try to enter an ID that already exists.
• If you have an internal nomenclature you can add it to the description or put it at the beginning of the title rather than put it in the ID field.
